Wiesbaden

Wiesbaden
Wiebaden is the capital city of the state of Hesse. It has about 275,400 inhabitants, plus aprox. 10,000 United States citizens (mostly associated with the American military). Wiesbaden is one of the oldest spa towns in Europe. Its name literally means "meadow baths". At one time, Wiesbaden boasted 27 hot springs. Fifteen of the springs are still flowing today.

Here are a few of my pictures from my little day trip to Wiesbaden, with Linndy & Charlotte on March 1st 2011.

Getting off the train, and walking towards the shopping district

Starting to see a lot of beautiful architecture in the distance

Love cities made entirely of cobble stones! <3

We were so lucky, we had gorgeous weather for our day trip

Cool gold fountain, to bad the sun decided to hide behind some clouds just as I took this picture

Cutest little cafe EVER! Had old lady mannequins in the window sipping tea!

Hard to see but, at the end of the street it looked like it used to be part of an old fortress

The "wine cellar"
